here is a plateful fresh from the tumbler, mostly pet wood, but a few more agate fish and some other odds and ends. some close ups of the wood, this is mainly stuff i got from Pho with a few more pieces of the Eden Valley material from Stoner. here is a shot of my best fish so far, also shoing some scraps of Rainbow Jasper i got from Kim. also, a superb piece of Botswana from WarrenA. and a closeup of the Botswana: some of the pet wood ran many weeks in coarse, one week in 120/220, two weeks in 600 and two weeks in CPP. thanks for looking!! WoW .... drool drool, beautiful. Those fish are so darn cute, I just love them. How many do you have now? Enough to fill an aquarium yet? Wouldn't that be the neatest thing to have a whole tankful of them. ;D

I know I've said it before but that pet rock of Pho's is my favorite pet yet. And you sure do have a way with it, KD.

Great batch KD! I especially like the one in the last picture.
Seems like you've got fish going in every batch now. Are you making many fish bowls?
Have you thought about making a few bowls and bringing them to your local pet store to sell on consignment?

Awesome mix, those look great! I'm really looking forward to getting my botswana started, I have to cut a few more pounds first with the circular saw. ;D lol... Curious, is that tiger eye in there? Can I tumble tiger eye with the agate? I know that they're the same hardness (or close to it) but don't know if the tiger eye being fiberous would cause problems??

KD, That Plate is full of goodies....but I'm still hungry. More please! Love it all. I really like the grain the wood shows, and that Botswana is amazing. I've never attempted tumbling any of the Botswana, but whenever I see anyone who's tumbled it, I always tell myself....now's the time. Need to Buy Some! Great Stuff KD...wouldn't expect anything less. Steve

KD you're promoted. I pronounce you Rockmeister. Umm, Rockmeistress. Whatever. Those are awesome fish and that pet wood looks stately. Joe

Love the Botswan. There is just something appealing about it. That does it now I am going to have to get some. Tami

Rose, i cut the outlines on the trim saw and do a little bit of rough grinding on the grinder then put them in 60/90 for the whole cycle thro polish a few fish per load. kinda sneak'em in, few at a time.
Randy, there are a few odds and ends of Tiger Eye in there, a few do overs that i'd tumbled once, then decided they were to big for pendants s i sliced them in half on the saw for matched pairs of earrings. again, i'm using the "KD Sneak a Few in Method" and haven't had any real problems mixing a few different types in as long as they are close in MOH.
Kim, that is the first of the rainbow jasper scraps that i've tumbled, it cabs nicely and now can say it takes a decent shine in the tumbler.
i think i am going to continue making the fish and maybe follow up on Alices' idea and take a few to the local pet shops....they are extrremely labor intensive but you never know, they might appeal to folks as tank decorations. i got a few more coming up in this next batch. but more or less all are spoken for as Xmas present this year.
thanks everyone for your compliments, makes it all worthwhile!!

Cool, thanks!! The reason that I asked is that I have a few do-overs as well from my last (first) batch that I want to sneak in there.
