Jellybean, Tahoma, Butterfly Wing, Woodward Plume. The Tahoma was a heel and I made a new face with the Trim saw. Ready to dop.

stardiamond, great job on that material! Those will make some great finished cabs.

I did a little work on the Tahoma. That's it for today. I need to work on a pitted area and take down the middle a bit.

stardiamond, that looks great to me. I often think cabs with imperfections look the best. Your's looks really good.

I’ve got lots of wabi-sabi going on. 😂 I had one slab of petrified wood all drawn out with the cab shapes and cut it and broke both cabs in half. I had to improvise with the remaining prices and got one with a big divot in the middle. It polished great but has a huge imperfection. Maybe I should start telling people I did it on purpose...

I actually really like the pattern that came out on the Tahoma! The Tahoma was a heel. I looked at it for a few months because I didn't love the pattern. When it arrived the face looked like the picture. With heels, I cut a slab with the face as the bottom to start with an even surface and grind a new face. When I think the original face is better, I use a flat lap to make an even bottom. When the new face is better, less work. I didn't like the top of the face I chose so I took it down a little for a cleaner look. I used the new macro lens for the cab pictures on the stand.

Look great! Is Blairrock still in business? For about 3-4 weeks I have been trying to click on the website but I just get a screen that says Down For Maintenance.
