Hi! I got myself a rock tumbler (just the Nat Geographic hobby tumbler) last year. I’ve wanted one since I was a kid! I have done one batch of small rocks but I’m looking to polish a ziploc bag half-full of rocks I found in Lake Superior. That’s why I’m here! I want to determine what the easiest way gets the shiniest result

Welcome from Northern Arizona!
You'll find lots of help from the tumblers on the site. I suggest you start a thread on the Rock Tumbling board where they'll find it easily and offer you all kinds of great advice.

kaseyb I have heard national geographic grit isn't good because it uses silicon carbide rather than aluminum or cerium oxide. Lots of people recommend the rockshed's grit and polish which I'm going to try next. Hope that helps.
