Two beach agate finds of the day. The smallest appears to be a moss agate to me. If you think I'm wrong, feel free to correct. flic.kr/p/2mgxA1K

Way to go Perk! I tried to zoom in on the pic, but it got too fuzzy for me. I hope it is a moss agate...I'm really starting to have a thing for moss!

Looks mossy to me. Any way you can upload larger pictures to Flickr?

I can but sorry, what do you mean by larger? My camera gets really fuzzy if it gets too close.

hummingbirdstones - Thanks Robin! perkins17 - I'll agree with you and Robin...looks mossy to me as well! Nice shape on those two. Those would be a quick tumble I'd bet.

Nice perkins! Where did you find them? I remember you being on a collecting mission.

Nice perkins! Where did you find them? I remember you being on a collecting mission. Thanks! I found them on Torrey pines state reserve in San Diego California. Lots of natural gravels there. It is a great beach beside the rockhounding as well. A little hard to find parking though. There is a fee parking area and a free area. Free is harder to find spots though.

There are also some huge sandstone cliffs on the beach. I found a large chunk of fossilized shells that I couldn't get because it was so big.

I can but sorry, what do you mean by larger? My camera gets really fuzzy if it gets too close. Cool finds! I have found the best way to take a picture with my phone is to put the rock close to the phone so it is fuzzy, then pull it away till the camera naturally focuses on the pattern in the rock. After that I edit the picture to zoom back in on the rock. I have had pretty good results, much better than just trying to get the phone close to the subject. Looks like you have some pretty good hunting grounds near by!
