Right on Bill catfish RTH is really cool forum The internet was made for this Type of hobby. Post pictures, meet folks from all geographical areas, Rock in boxes via postal socialize in safe distances ha It really is great encouragement. Especially for the noob. After crafting on rock, the thrill and frustration of photographing, and then a forum to show it w/ feedback. That really is beneficial Being a lone stone in those days It made for encouraging process, and a way to stay connected The original show & tell rock show,,,

catfish, you click on their name ( E.G. catfish) and you will see a "follow" button. Click that and you followed them! It's in the top right corner

Wow guys, I am elated, excited and can’t wait to get started! Now my main thing is to find somebody with some woodworking equipment so I can build my stand for my Frantom. I’m sure somebody in my local Moose has some of that equipt. Tommy, in admin, gave me a map on how to get to the Cloudinary site where I could change the upload size. And I got that done, so stand back, I’m fixing to upload all these pictures! I guess I will upload them right here. I took two different pictures of each rock, so most sides could be seen. Call me impressed that you navigated the Cloudinary set-up so quickly, and also managed a size change of your pics. So much to learn here! But if you need help, just ask away, we are a patient bunch!

Perkins, thanks for that info.
Rockpicker, thanks for the compliment on figuring out Cloudinary. I worked at a newspaper 20 years, consequently I’ve had experience figuring out between PC and Apple, I am an Apple guy. I’m sorry I didn’t see your answer to my question how to follow somebody, I just didn’t get back in time to see it.
Jason, Thanks for the comments on the deal I got, I was real lucky. Also about my avatar, it is a photo of me getting ready for a Moosetache & Beard competition I organize @ the Moose Lodge. We have had it for 3 years. Now, the beard is cut way back and I have two braids coming down from my mustache. My girlfriend does all my braiding, and wants me to twirl my mustache if we ever go out...but not the braids.
Ed, that was a great post.
Brian, thanx for the encouragement.

When you want to respond to someone, they might not see it unless you quote their post...or you can "tag" them. In order to tag someone, you need to put a @ before their username. Like to if I were to tag you, I'd put a @ in front of catfish like this catfish. You will need to hover your cursor over their username to ensure their name is what it says. Hummingbirdstones2 and Brian are good examples. Brian's name is actually fuzzyb - so you'd need to put the @ sign before fuzzyb to tag him (once you tag him though, it shows up as "Brian" in yellow - but it you hover your cursor over it, it comes up as fuzzyb) I hope that made sense...mess around with it a little and you'll get it.

jasoninsd is this what you meant? It doesn’t seem to be doing like you described. Where is the username gonna be when I put the @ sign in front of it?

jasoninsd is this what you meant? It doesn’t seem to be doing like you described. Where is the username gonna be when I put the @ sign in front of it? You did that right tagging me. What I was trying to describe is sometimes people's usernames are different from what you see. Like Brian is actually "fuzzyb" with the @ sign in front. (Sorry for the tag Brian...you're just a good example! ) So if you hover your cursor over their name (on a PC, not your phone) it will show what their actual username is...hover your cursor over the yellow Brian and you'll see what I mean.

catfish I sent pics of the FranTom to sphereguy Matt The FranTom historian and curator of the largest FranTom collection on the planet. It is a DVA. An angle iron stand with the motor mounted below the unit was how they sold the deluxe ready to rock unit. New about 50-60 years ago it cost a whopping $160US as a bare unit without motor.

You are more technically savvy than me. I never figured out cloudinary myself. I still have to post pictures on link for ( like this flic.kr/p/2mgtGEh some sort of rock.)

That is an awesome deal catfish! Welcome to the hobby, you're about to go down a rabbit hole.... The Frantom alone would've been a steal at $300. Here those machines sell from $500-1500, depending. Nice job! Plus all those extras, wow. If you have questions our forums are EXCELLENT. Everyone here has been super welcoming and patient with my idiotic questions, I'm sure they can help you :-)
