I had several interuptions on this batch and it took me longer than I expected to finish, but it was well worth the wait. This batch was started July 26th. Beginning Finished The picture does not do the shine justice. The other interesting thing is the tiger eye that I cooked did not stay red. Tami

I love seeing a nice colorful batch like that. Any ideas on what the green stuff is, it's very pretty. How long did you cook your tiger-eye, maybe it needed to be in there longer? Nice batch Tami!!

Tami-
Cool little batch. I love the green stuff too; looks like malachite to me!! Are some of the rocks locals you just picked up?

Nice batch of shiners! Sure can't go wrong with that Tiger eye and Green Imperial Jasper? Is the center piece Youngite? Never thought of even trying that kind of agate. Sure is interesting...mel

What a great mix. They look great rough, even. Nice job. It's fun to see the rough and the finished product next to each other. Thanks. matt

Tami, love those colors! Great Batch. I really like looking at the before/after pics. It's hard to believe the colors and details every rock yields when tumbled. There's beauty in every rock...Stefan has proved that with the ordinary Driveway Gravel. Steve

;D that imperial japser is almost as pretty rough as it is polished....you did a great job on those. i always forget to take "before" shots, but it's so cool to see them and then the final results. yay, Tami! KD

I think your tiger eye looks great as it is along with the rest of the batch. Those are happy rocks now.

Hi Great batch and lovly shapes As regards the Photo The advice Ive been given(if its a digital camera) is to photo on a bright day outside NOT in the sun and try to get a reflection on the stone of a overhanging tree or electric pole see James 's post on polishing, I know the feeling of having a great polish and a DULL photo, keep at it you will suceed. Yours, Jack Yorkshire,UK

Thanks everyone for your compliaments.
Cher and Alice I have three different types of green stone, Blood stone (love that stuff), Imperial Jasper when held up to the light is kind of see through, I will try to get a picture of that, and Lizzard skin which is the striped green stones.
Gaetz unfortunately no I did not pick these up locally, some of them I picked up in Colorado and the rest I bought, I really don't have a good close place to go rock hunting here.
Kim the Greenish grey rocks I have no idea what they are I picked them up on my Colorado trip in July.
Yes Sabre that is Youngite.
Xenawolf, the shine is thanks to me combining 1 Tablespoon of Cerium Oxide and 1 Tablespoon of I think Aluminum Oxide, I have done that twice now and came out with great results.
Right now I don't use a camera, I am using my scanner.
