thanks for the rock i.d., amygdule that is really cool ! Was going to mention this morning That I was headed out to hound a butte I found on my 4 Peaks Tour It had lots of geological variations I now call this butte Beeline Lots of botryoidally chalcedony figured there be fire agate in some Looked & looked butte no such luck Plus because of all the melted quartz I think the butte was formed by magma force Something like that. Anyway the area rocks & will offer great monsoon photo sets the vistas are Stay tuned….

A type of flower in the Salt River Last couple of days There is a very fast coy roadrunner that scamper into view. I’m to much of slomohs to capture it on the camera Tomorrow- or soon- plan on setting out some seeds & see if can’t capture some action…

A lizard will probably entice that roadrunner better than seeds. They're meat eaters.

Thanks Rick ! I’m feeling real bad I just snapped a baby aloa vera cactii I clumsily stepped on it uuuuugigiigighghhghghhghg...I went to pick it up to replant and/or take it to nursery for healing Butte a root was still well attached So I propped it up with some rocks And said a blessing It really bothers me Because I was in area is should not have been Anyways This is the baby San Pedro I was walking up to photo' As side note I see lots of unhealthy saguaro’s and other cacti out there a picture of toppled healthy barrel I stumbled across this This was out at Ussery Park was looking for a ranger to ask What would cause this? Anyway they must be aware of it Some strange occurrence….

"Cacti inhabit diverse regions, from coastal plains to high mountain areas. With one exception, they are native to the Americas, where their range extends from Patagonia to British Columbia and Alberta in western Canada"
Little fun fact I just found out. I've never really thought about them growing elsewhere to be honest.
