Does/should/would anyone ever tumble slabs in a rotary tumbler? What rotary do you have? How big are your slabs? I tumble saw scraps in my small tumblers.

perkins17 The big ones I have are UV-10 and QT66. Peruano looks like I'm going to need a bigger vibe.

Yes I have done smaller slabs. Nothing really special other than I only put in 1 or 2 per load as they will tend to stick together. 3Lb barrels.

I have tumbled small ones in a 3 lb rotary. Did them with some other rocks. They turned out nice.
These were all what some call slabettes or one cab wonders, to give an idea of size. The largest was about 2.5" long.

I've got some full size (whatever that means! LOL) that I wouldn't trust in a rotary. I have it stuck in my head they'd break. I do plan on putting them in my UV-18 vibe one of these days...
