I was cabbing this imperial jasper when a ghost child appeared in the face of the rock. I threw it against the floor to rid myself of this unwelcome spirit, but only managed to put a big fracture in the face. I think it is a sign that I need to give up on this one.

He’s pretty cute! I also like his friend in the upper left. He’s a keeper!

That would have probably spooked that crap out of me!
Since it's "Royal" Imperial...maybe it's a mineral incarnation of Marie Antoinette!

He’s pretty cute! I also like his friend in the upper left. He’s a keeper! This is actually a tumble. It is royal imperial jasper. I considered it a dud when I cut it (no orbs), so I threw it in the tumbler instead of cabbing it. It's not a true dud, but it looks like more regular imperial jasper than the royal variety. Of course the ghost doesn't show up until it's done tumbling. I would have made a proper cab out of it if I had known he were hiding inside.

We know about crystal healers. But do the metaphysical powers of rocks have a dark side? Are there crystal witches? Crystal dark shamans? Black magic mineralists? If I were looking to conjurer evil spirits, this rock would be a good starting point.
