It has been a crazy summer. So hot and humid that I don't want to even think about cutting rocks (my slab saw is in the garage and it gets a bit warm in there). Spending my free time working the land, and playing with the new tractor, PLUS watching the grand daughters as we welcomed another granddaughter a couple weeks ago. Oh let's not forget my promotion at work (yea great except it means 10 to 12 hour days now). Phew. Well today was a Stefan mental health day and what focuses and relaxed a person with a 14 inch slab saw better than cutting some rocks. Nothing different just more cuts on the rocks I started a while back. Top row is Arizona Pet Wood Middle is Dino doo Bottom is snowflake Obsidian.

First and foremost, congratulations on the new addition to the family! (I'm referring to the grandbaby, not the tractor again! LOL) Second, congratulations on the promotion...which I'm assuming raised your workload and responsibility exponentially...but not at the same rate as the pay increase! Third, congratulations on the "mental health" day...we all NEED those, but too many forget to take them! Good looking cuts...and oddly, I too cut some dino poo today! I'm going to post some pics in the coprolite thread here in a little bit.

Thanks. Yes the promotion came with a very tiny raise and a ton more responsibility and overtime. It's ok as I was pretty much handling the job anyway, but now it is all official like. As for the granddaughter, well I am thrilled to death to say the least.

Congratulations on the promotion and grandbaby!
Hopefully this hot weather breaks soon and you can get more time with the slab saw!
