This is one of the first rocks I found in my backyard almost a year ago. I finally decided to throw it into the tumbler, mostly because I wanted to see what was under the orange glow on the side. I just kept it in the tumbler each time I changed out rocks. i just took it out of the tumbler and discovered the "decayed" looking area had opened up to reveal crystals. to be honest, I hadn't expected anything from that area. Now, suddenly, I care about the rock! lol There is some grout in the crevasse. Will vinegar dissolve the grout? Maybe dissolve more that is covering the crystals? What do you think is under the rest of the rock? Should I slice it and tumble the slices? I'm not experienced at anything. Just want your input. The photographs are of the rock when I found it a year ago. The video is now.

"Now, suddenly, I care about the rock!" - This made me laugh! I have no clue what this is, but the interior structure reminds me of the interior construction of a Bubble Gum Agate. Once I've exposed the interior of a Bubble Gum, I rarely go any further with it. So, I'll be curious to see what others suggest as to your questions...
