Rockindad , is there ocean jasper in the background too? 20lbs left. Wow. I need to get my hands on some of that! The background rocks are actually Rainforest Jasper. Just got it and started prepping some chunks for the saw this week, threw the trimmings into the tumbler. Seems nice and solid but we'll have to wait and see how it turns out. The Ocean Jasper in the pics was sold as "B-Grade" from The Gem Shop, I see they still have some. It's cool but not like the premium stuff that is difficult to find now. I don't think I would bother with what TGS is selling as Ocean Jasper #3 though after running this material. Of course that's just my opinion.

I'll have to learn about it.

Hi: Thanks for posting. Probably a dumb beginner question-- but what characteristics make you say "low grade ocean jasper"? Do you have a photo of a high grade one for comparison? Lastly, can you post a before rough of the ocean jasper? Thanks for Your patience. Blue

Lastly, can you post a before rough of the ocean jasper? Thanks for Your patience. Blue Hi Blue, not a dumb question at all. There are so many pictures of Ocean Jasper on the forum, just use the search bar and you will find many. Check out this thread to start: forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/thread/78257/ocean-jasper-examples-purchased-yearsIn the case of the material we tumbled it was sold as a lower grade. This is a picture from the sellers website and is very similar to how our rough looks: cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0159/6368/products/ocean_jasper3_2017_large.jpg?v=1571264313I would explain the lower grade as being duller in color, ours is pretty much all green and white. Also, there are very few larger orbs, most are bright white specks. While still a neat rock, not like the premium examples of this material, which is becoming rather difficult to find at an affordable price.
