Nice work, Rocky. The homemade barrel: you got a door in the other end, or do you undo the rod to pop an end off?

The home made barrel is made of sewer pipe (PVC or what ever), I have wing nut on one side for easy removal. I have gasket material sandwich between the end pieces and a ring piece ( ring piece supports pipe and holds gasket in placed) seal one end with lots of silicone sealant to hold in place. This is the first load in the barrel, it seems to have a pretty good tumbling action. Time will tell. If this works I have a bigger pipe to build about a 25lb tumbler. I will try to get a couple of more pictures soon.

Both units have a 1/3 hp motors, I don't have to worry about them starting back up after a power failure. That was one a the main problems I had with the original lortone motor. I am still testing the home made barrel for durability, before I build the bigger one. But I will try to photograph the assy.
