Here’s my spare back, toro dingo tx525 wide track. I just call her the dingo, in my best Australian accent. Nice. Those Dingos can get a lot of work done in tight spaces. They have big high flow hydraulic pumps so good for accessories, like your mammoth post hole digger. It took me a minute to realize it was a dingo. For a second I thought it was a funny looking skid steer with an armored operator station.

Does my Old Worn Out Yanmar count as a tractor. Hell yes it does, especially since you've got true AG tires on it. Probably has the same HP as my Deere (with Yanmar engine). Mine is a little tractor. It looks bigger because it's got oversized wheels.

Small enough to fit into a yard in the unincorporated county (only 1/5 acre, but bigger than many of my neighbors have), but your dingo is big enough to get the job done. The bucket is a usable size, but would have no use for the discs, hydraulics, auger or PTO.

I spent 10yrs of my life (8yrs old to 18yrs) "working" on my families small 4.5ac "share-cropping" land, commercially consisting mostly of tomato(s), squash(s), white onion, and small grove (1.5ac) of grapefruit, which we shared with 8ac of juicing citrus growers. We also raised goats, sheep and boarded a few horses......and of course a variety of chickens (white leg, Isa brown and a few Rhode Island red's)........by the time I reached 12ys old, my Mom, sister and I were pretty much operating the whole thing since Dad was running his other business to help support everything. So, one can only imagine why I did not consider farming as a life style once I left home and got "edgikated".......lol Anyway.....I don't have any of my own (or of my Dad's) photo's of the "tractors" we used.........but here are images of the two I worked (and fixed) for most of those years....: A Sears model Super 12 A John Deer work horse They were not of the classic scale tractor variety.......but they did the job's they were made for, and then some.......lol

Back when they actually made small tractors designed for more than cutting grass. The way tractors are geared, combined with pto and/or auxiliary hydraulics, it doesn't take a huge machine to do real work. The Michigan farmers who grow field crops (a lot of corn and soy around here) still use big tractors, but I've got a friend who grew up on a 500+ acre apple orchard in south-west Michigan and they farmed it with two compact 4x4 tractors about like mine. You don't need a huge machine to pull a cart with 10,000 pounds of apples at 3 or 4 miles per hour, or to tow around a 500 gallon spray tank.

My 2021 Massey 1725M Just added bolt on pallet forks this week. That's a beauty of a tractor, Stefan. The perfect size for most people. Assuming it has 4wd, I'm sure it is quite capable for it's size. Looks like a comfy seat, too. I have gotten a ton of use out of bolt on pallet forks. You lose a lot of lifting capacity because they stick out so far, but they are great for moving brush piles, light pallets, and for creating a non-OSHA approved work platform for cleaning gutters.

A 1972 780 David Brown made in England. It has had 34 years of hard use on my place. Purchased from a fellow that used it as a mower for 10 years. It was in pristine shape when purchased. Finally starting to loose a bit of compression but still a stump puller. Had to replace clutch and water pump, quite reliable for so many years. It looked about like this when purchased. A PTO attachment I welded up out of a junkyard purchased 48 inch centrifugal blower. 260mph wind speed at 200cuft/sec@3000rpm. weighed 1200 pounds.

10 days ago "Man Killed by Dogs Newnan, GA - A 21-year old man is dead after being mauled by two pit bulls in Coweta County. Alex Binyam Abraha of Atlanta, a possible intruder, entered a home on Walt Sanders Road on September 24 and encountered two pit bulls. He was found dead on the front porch when the homeowner returned. Coweta County sheriff's deputies responded to the scene. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) medical examiner ruled the cause of death to be a dog mauling. Investigators say that evidence indicates that Abraha was inside the home where the dogs were located, but at some point died outside the home. Investigators say the homeowner, who was not home during the fatal pit bull mauling, does not know the man or why he would be inside his residence. According to deputies, Abraha has active warrants out for his arrest in Fulton County. No charges are expected against the homeowner, who law enforcement did not publicly identify." signs on house owner's front door: "Fox 5 News captured footage of the home's front door and porch, which has a sign stating, "Never mind the dog, beware of owner!" Another sign states, "Lord, make me fast and accurate. Let my aim be true and my hand faster than those who seek to destroy me. Grant me victory over my foes and those that wish to do harm to me and mine. Let not my last thought be, 'If I only had my gun.' And Lord, if today is truly the day that you call me home, let me die in a pile of empty brass."

He had no business entering that man's home, the dogs just did their job. I suspect the criminal, due to his penchant for the illegal, would not have lived a full life anyway. He'd have died young somehow, or been in jail. Just hope he hadn't passed on his genes yet...

Nice gear, I hope to soon have something to brag about, or not, long as it's functional. The Toro Dingo with a trencher and a PHD auger would be splendid. I've rented a larger Cat skid steer a couple times, $200/day adds up, but I'll never need to put in enough hours to merit a purchase, nice as that would be. Spent a couple summers on a full size Massey pulling gang mowers down fairways on a country club golf course years ago. Neighbor has a tractor with a backhoe, already dug us a couple four holes for planting trees, and works for a place that leases gear to contractors. I probably don't need to buy anything, or maybe just a side by side or golf cart to tow a leveling drag around the property.

These events are a total shame rockpickerforever. Regarding the dogs...Most comments were "dogs just doing their job" etc; however this comment was expected - "Even if it was an intruder, trespassing is not a death penalty crime." Solution - stay the hell out of people's homes ! Ok, fine you people with that opinion can allow break-ins if your heart bleeds so much for such individuals. Just a reminder, many of them have no intentions of leaving witnesses.

rockpickerforeverjamespHad to buy some food for my guard dog the other day. I like to feed it 100 rounds a month. It's an expensive dog to feed, but when it bites it doesn't let go.
