I've never cut this material before or heard of it before joining this forum. It's beautiful. My niece has been asking for a purple pendant and I've only once found a purple stone (at Hampton Butte in Oregon). I like that it looks like a sunrise: I like the darker background for this stone.

That looks a lot more stable than some of the Purple Cow I've cut...
I love the looks of this material, but the propensity for fracturing (or so it seems to me) is SO frustrating.

Here's some pieces of Purple Cow that I've cut. This is the more stable of the two pieces I slabbed. The other one (it's somewhere! LOL) is actually more colorful, but needs stabilized before working it... Mine looks more purple when dry. These pics show them wet.
