Just testing the waters first.
Is there any interest in tumbling or slabbing size pieces of Wisconsin Moonstone? These were collected in a Wausau area that is now an interstate exchange. Late 1990's to early 2000's. I know the specific area collected and can share. This is not the current location listed as "the only place" Wisconsin Moonstone is.
These are some rocks I was given by a friend who went with her parents and the Rhinelander, WI rock club to collect. She told me to sell them if I could.
I am having a tough time to capture all the chatoyancy these rocks have.
if there is interest, I will list a SFRB of tumblers and another SFRB of slabbing size. Well, small slabs. I have another week to go on some pieces I have in tumbler. Running at least a two week rough stage, as these need it.
I will try to give my friend any money from the sale of these, but doubt she will accept it.

Bad photo, as it does not show the chatoyancy. Will try to get some better photos. One of two tubs I have.

Capturing the schiller in non A or even B grade specimens can be quite tricky and at times tedious when these are in rough form, but very important to do when selling them. I have had really good results when they are wet and and in diffuse sunlight (morning or late afternoon sunlight).

I would be interested in the larger pieces. You may want to edit out your email address and contact fernwood directly via PM.

Good luck with your sale. From the picture, they look like nice stones with great potential. Just a thought, if you take more pictures, you might want to include something common for an idea of size.

Thanks everyone. I will be checking the ones I have in tumbler on Thursday. Will probably be posting some tumbling and some slabbing pieces then.

I'd take a medium FRB if available - tumble size.

Can you take a video moving the rock slowly in good light. Sometimes it shows chatoyancy better than a still. Looks like great material to tumble.

I got my cabbing sfrb. It’s more like large tumbles and the material is brown but does have nice flash. Thanks Beth

An Iron out bath is usually a must for these.
