This would be a solution for the material she hasn't worked, but not the already completed cab, right? Would work for both, but the cab would have to be ground flat on the front again. I cut my quartz 1/8" thick or less, material to be cabbed can be thin slabs. I use hughes 330 epoxy.

I'm gonna put it aside and I'll try later to re stabilize it.

I'm gonna put it aside and I'll try later to re stabilize it. I don't blame you. My box of "stabilize it later" material is growing...and it has some pretty cool stuff in it so far....so my "one of these days" needs to get here sooner rather than later! LOL

@jadedvision since the ratio numbers are translatable to x/y/z axis dimensions they are interchangable. Or was that sarcasm? I can never be sure...

MsAli I'm sorry about the pits in your Binghamite. Definitely try stabilizing it later. We have a box of Binghamite/Silkstone but I know for sure there is no blue in there. I'd really like to see it when you do finish it.

With a shape that has only one axis of reflective symmetry, are the 4:3 and 3:4 interchangeable. Can we make a short wide vampire face or a tall narrow one? Since we changed the original requirements, I did mention at one point (in six pages of awesome rambling! LOL) that it could be a 4Wx3H or 3Wx4H. Tommy - would you update the original post to reflect either 4:3 or 3:4...we want squatty vampires as well as lanky ones! LOL @jadedvision...you have to make one of each just to give the rest of us a fighting chance this month! LOL. (Teasing. )

jasoninsd I would use the regular thin super glue. The gel is only good for dopping IMHO I started my cab last night. As long as I don't drop it I'll have it done this weekend 🤘

Going to need some help on an ID for this one... Got it in a mix box from roy a few months ago. Made me think of falling leaves. Really great material to work with! (Correction --> I got my boxes mixed up and this material is from oldschoolrocker ) Dimensions are 16.83mm x 22.46mm = 0.749 for the ratio. Height is 5.68mm so comes in at about 0.253. pretty close to the 4:3:1. (Hopefully got the directions right lol) EDIT: favorite Halloween memory: Trick or treating during the snow storm of 1991. Dressed as a Ninja, hitting ice chunks off of the bushes with my sword.

Way to get the challenge started with an absolute GORGEOUS cab agatewhisperer! Those colors are definitely "Fall" inspired! Fantastic job on getting it close...pretty much dead on the ratio...and even got the original ratio of 4:3:1 to boot! Except...something's missing from your entry post... "One more caveat - entrants are asked to post one of their favorite Halloween memories when the submit their entry."

Oh and my Halloween story
I can't remember how old I was, maybe around 8 when I was asked by my dad to go retrieve a saw from the shed. It was pitch black out and I wasn't happy to go because we had just got back from trick or treating and I wanted to go through the candy. Well I trudged down to the shed with a flashlight and opened the door and then immediately turned and ran back to the house screaming Dad thought it would be funny to hang a doe in there without telling me

And I love the Halloween Horror Story! I can just picture you seeing that "unknown" carcass on a dark and spooky Halloween night! I really am sorry...but I think I'd like your dad! LOL (I hope you're able to laugh about it at this point... )
