"Dead Camel Mountain Jasper" ... I think I'd buy some just because of the name. That's awesome (and it's great looking stuff too!).

OMG! Tony might have to pay you some commissions as I can't imagine this post isn't going to generate a few more sales for him! LOL That is stupendous looking material! I can't wait to see what you do with it! I can definitely see some slabs screaming out to be cut since I can TOTALLY see some amazing cabs out of that material!

You know Mexican Crazy Lace has been my favorite rock for as long as I’ve known about it , but this stuff is the closest any rock has come to it for me.🤣

It's too short not to find the things that make you happy and RUN with it! If you're on the fence about it, take the leap, and get a new saw and you'll open up a whole new rabbit hole for yourself in this hobby! (I never said I wasn't an enabler! )

And if there’s one hobby I truly enjoy , it is this. 🤣 And I seem to be getting deeper and deeper! I really do need a saw because I think it would be a shame to not slab this rock. Okay okay...I’ve decided I must have a saw! Any recommendations for one that’s not too expensive but is durable? 🤣🤣🤣

I've cut probably close to a thousand slabs with this saw. On mine, I made a minor tweak to the fence to make it a little taller...but I think it's a pretty good bang for your buck... www.harborfreight.com/10-in-wet-tile-saw-with-sliding-table-69275.html

Yes. If it's a wet tile saw! This might've gotten a lot less expensive if he already has a saw! You'll find a lot of recommendations for blades on here. I use a DeWalt XP4...for what that's worth.

Thanks jasoninsd! I’ll ask him in the morning since he’s already asleep. I hope it is the right kind... if not I’ll have to buy one, but unfortunately it will be a less expensive one that you have.🤣I’ll have to look up some very, very beginner videos on using one. I think it would be really neat to be able to slice a rock in half to see what’s inside. As you know, sometimes the outside is very deceptive as to what’s inside.

Buy a rock saw. Then a second, and a third. Slabbing rocks is an addictive and potentially expensive hobby. I recommend it highly. The only inheritance I'm leaving is a barn full of slabs.
