I did most of the finer notch work on the first soft wheel, usually I am just polishing by that stage. Patience was needed.

That's the cool thing about hearts, seems like such a simple shape but there are many paths to take with it. When I started doing mine I didn't like the rounded ones as I didn't feel I was getting it just right. I really like yours though, and beautiful material to boot!
