Great job! My artistic abilities include A: throwing the rocks on the carpet for a picture or even better B:setting them on a super dirty white rag. I think your try far surpassed mine... Lol 😂

Lol 😂 Thanks! Yea I've evolved into dirty beach towels on the counter and lamps on their side without the lampshade

Hello: thanks for posting... I think they are pretty. do you know what 5 (white one)and 11 (the marblely one) and the translucent yellow ones are? They look a lot like the ones I see at beach here. I have been trying to get smart on rock identification and still have way to go. Currently at vacation residence and lack capability to tumble, cut etc so my focus is trying to figure out what they are. Keeps me entertained on my walks. Thanks. Respectfully Blue

Hey blue I'm new to learning the names of most my finds as well, there is a ton of variety. If I had to guess, the white one is either waterline agate or quartz with some kind of waterline in it. I have no idea what the second one is, but I'm starting to find more on the beach. That one I cut into as the outside is mostly tan but it has indentations. Same with the see through one, I originally thought it was a fossil of some sort that I wanted to see if it would tumble but I'm not entirely sure any more. I have more of these to try out as well. Here is a picture of what the outside of that marble stone may look like, these are they kind I will cut to see the inside, not all are as exciting. Hope that helps, and good luck on your finds. Can't wait to see some pictures!

Great stones and nice pics. Almost too nice, I felt like I was gonna fall into that beach towel ala Clive Barker’s Weaveworld.

The banded ones are really cool. Number twelve of the single photos looks like unakite, maybe a little bit. Nice rocks from Michigan! Thanks for sharing.

Those are nice tumbles. You got a good shine and not a lot of pitting on rocks that can be tricky to tumble well. Nice photos as well.

Letting go of certain rocks was an issue early, like I had some kind of emotional attachment to each one I know what you mean. After a week or two of tumbling I can tell which rocks are not going to turn out well. But it's had to discard the ones that I either found myself or that I just like for whatever reason, even though I can see that more tumbling is just going to make then worse. I have gotten better, however, at pulling out rocks that aren't going to tumble well to make more room for the ones that will.
