Hello, I am a new member to this group and a new-ish rock tumbler; I've been tumbling for about a year. I am looking for some nice Mexican Crazy Lace that has the grey and white with pops of other muted colors mixed in. All I see is RED Crazy Lace which does not look as pretty to me. I have no idea where to find it. I did find an online store called Kingsley North but they sent me the ugly Crazy Lace. If anyone has found the beautiful, not-so-"loud" crazy Lace please point me in the right direction. Thank you in advance

Hey hand pick your own. Everytime I've been to the Gold Mine rock shop out side of Canon City, CO they've had a large pallet of crazy lace. Much better to fondle the rocks you are going to pay money for than to let someone else select for you. Take a drive.

Try laguna lace or Summerville from Georgia. Both are more monochromatic, nice muted banding but very nice.

There is a seller on eBay it's listed as "crazy lace banded agate" with the muted colors and if you add it to your watch list they'll send you an offer for a discount.

I am looking for small ones to tumble, but I've also been searching forever for a nice, thin slab, about 3 to 4 inches long, one I can place on a rock stand that I have. If anyone can help me find this you will make my life complete!

I have about 2/3 of a barrel of small Laguna Lace pieces, lots of cool tumblers and a few cutters in there. Tony

What is a cutter?

A cutter is a stone big enough to slice and make cabs from. Cutters don't have to be large, just big enough to slice into 2 or more pieces.
ETA: They are also usually better quality than tumbling rough.
