You should be fine cutting it. If I remember correctly, the matrix is pretty hard and I don't remember having undercutting problems. You may get some pin holes in the matrix part, but I don't think there's anyway to get around that. They are very small pin holes if they show up and it's hard to see them with the naked eye. You can see them in close up pictures though. In my book, they are just part of the stone and don't take away from the beauty of the material. Dremel on!

Hopefully it doesn't undercut too bad.

Just a little progress update- mostly to show that I have actually been doing something rock related! I've only had time to dremel three of these so far and they still need ran through the vibe. Needles Blue that I still have hope for, a Teepee Canyon and a piece of Tabu Tabu with hematite (?). The Tabu Tabu was supposed to be the large round cab pictured above but with a big muddy spot it became a small oval. I'm hoping that it doesn't undercut in the vibe. Thanks for looking.    |
