I decided to get in the garage and cut a few preforms last night in case the cabbing bug comes back this winter. Pretty rough looking right now, the bearings on my table slides (right word?) need replaced so the table moves quite a bit when I cut. Anyway, just thought I'd share some pics, should make some decent cabs out of these.

IS THAT NEEDLES BLUE AT THE BOTTOM Yes sir, I believe it is. That came from Tommy (thanks again, sir!). He sent me some nice brecciated material for one of the contests a while back. I've been a bit nervous to work it but I'm excited at the same time. I hope I do it justice.

I keep looking at that Tee Pee with the big eye and druzy. It is fantastic. I like it too, although the shape is a little wonky so it may not be the final shape. I wanted to preserve the druzy. If I remember right it came from jasoninsd, not one that I found.

As I was scrolling down the page on the first group of pictures, I instantly saw the face. I might have a hard time working this piece now. It does look like a Sioux warrior with a feather hanging down on the side of his head... This is a great group of materials Mike! That Needles Blue is freaking gorgeous!  |

Started dremeling the Needles Blue... Has anyone cabbed this before? I'm wondering if it will undercut in the vibe. Ok, back to work, keeping my fingers crossed that I don't screw it up!  |

Yeah!! Exciting to see the progression. Wish I could give some advice on the needles blue. I'll be watching and trying to learn though. Some really nice colors there.
