Somebody here said they wanted to see some Alaskan rocks. So here's some Alaskan Beach Agates I just pulled out of my Lortone rotary rock tumbler. These were done in the rotary start to finish. But there was a gap in between where I didn't mess with them for a while so I couldn't tell you how long in total that they were in there. Probably at least 6 weeks start to finish. There's a few in this batch that have some banding but most do not. There's three or four that have to go back to stage 2 as I found some minute cracks I'm not happy with that I think will polish out okay. And there's three or four smalls that have some minor defects that I'm going to have to live with. Anyway I hope you enjoy!

Very nice kasilofchrisn You got a great polish. Beach agates are good because the ocean has already done some of the work. Thanks for posting picks.

Those are nice agates and chalcendony. Thanks for posting them. 😃 It's fun to see rock varieties from other parts of the country.

It's fun to see rock varieties from other parts of the country. The problem with this, is I now want to go and rockhound everywhere someone has posted neat images of their finds/tumbles! And, even though I'm new to tumbling, the wife and I have been collecting rocks for pretty much longer than we've been together (27+ years, now).
