Was cutting a small piece of Morgan hill poppy jasper and spotted this dude with shades on just chilling on the edge of the slab. Bad news is there's a crack on top of his head that just gets bigger the more I grind. Highly doubt he will be recognizable after any more grinding or polishing so thought I'd share before I screw it up... The slab- as can see his head is literally the edge of slab. The crack atop his head- And where ive stopped, for now.- Anyways, i always get a kick out of finding things like this in rocks so just wanted to share. Thanks for lookkng!

Good to take pictures when in process. I'd be considering the plan Bs. With MHPJ there is what you can see and what you can't see.

oldschoolrocker - That is freaking awesome! (It's even MORE awesome because I can actually see it! LOL) MHPJ is SO frustrating because of the fractures. I have some small slabs that I haven't wanted to work just yet as I think they might just be a bit of a heartbreak...

Sure looks like one happy little fellow. Might be his sister to the left of him with those two skinny legs. Thanks for the great post.

Haha, I tend to have an overactive imagination when looking at rocks and see lots that others don't so Im hesitant to share scenes in rocks that aren't as easily identifiable. So its a bonus whenever i find one that everyone sees! You are right mhpj fractures can be frustrating! Good thing even the small scraps can make some nice cabs
