Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't posted for so long! I tumbled rock's all summer but it was mostly the rough and medium stage grits. I didn't get back to polishing any batches until recently. I forgot to take pictures of the batches when they finished so I figured I would post some of my favorite rocks from them instead. Here' a group shot. This one is my favorite rock of the year. I found it in some construction fill dirt. I have no idea what or where it came from. It's definitely not from around here. The top of the Agate has a nice fortification. These are some of the nice Crazy Lace agates. Regency Rose agate. I love this stuff. It's fragile and cracks easily though. Some sort of plume agate. I originally thought it was a West Texas Rock but now I'm not sure. A green Moss and a Blackskin agate. Another Blackskin agate and a couple of LSAs. I need to get more of the little LSAs. They were great! I'll post more pics later. π

Well look who's posting again! Nice to see you back. Gorgeous tumbles! I think your favorite is my favorite as well! It looks like it has a bit of everything. That unknown red/green/orange plume agate looks like it could be a piece of Maury Mountain Moss Agate. Love that material!

Very pretty! My favorite is the 3rd Crazy Lace. The simplicity of it appeals to me. I think Jason is correct on the plume being Maury Mountain.

Thanks everyone! I looked up the Maury Mnt agate and the color patterns look similar. These stones I got were small thin pieces with a white crust on tops and bottoms. They looked like pieces of narrow vein agate or like the flat west Texas biscuits. Here's another piece that's so beautiful that I don't want to risk tumbling it. I always feel bad when I find out that some of the agates I tumble are rare or expensive. I'm always afraid I'll ruin something I can't replace.Β Anywho...here's some more tumbles π A red ,white and blue agate. The clear bluish areas almost looks like opalite in the sun. A really cool Botawana agate. Another group shot. Some close ups. Β I need to get back in practice....so many chips and cracks in my polish hehe.Β I'll post more tomorrow. π

@hankrocks The pieces I bought do look like the Mexican flame agate online. Same shape and crust. I have another with the same shape and crust filled with little red rose shapes too. The local store's bins are filled with all sorts of unusual things. jasoninsd You nailed one of my other finds. It was Butterfly jasper. ππ

The plume agate is spectacular! The green moss and blackskin agate are super nice too. I like them all. Thanks for sharing, and please keep tumbling and posting.
