My grandfather was one of the original bigtime rockhounds out of Central Oregon, (I followed in his path). He ran with the likes of Quant, Hoot, Rhoden, McCalister, etc.. if any of those names ring a bell? When he was building logging roads in the area he mined probably close to 3000+ pounds of a type of jasper I cant seem to trace down to a locality. All I know is, is that he always referred to it as Chinese jasper. Now that he's long passed, I'm kicking myself for not asking more details on locality. Curious if anyone here has seen or heard of this material, or if i'm the only one in existence with possession of the material. Here are a couple slabs from all of the rough. Takes a brilliant shine when polished and has lots of play of colors from golds to reds, purples, etc..Enjoy.

Reminds me of Jellybean (Haystack) Jasper That’s the closest material I’ve come across to matching. Might give me a clue that it’s from same area. Thank you

Thank you I thought there was some newer stuff that they were calling jelly bean as well but it is not the same thing. I think I first read about this on Sam Silverhawks site
