man I have no ideal.. thought I'd make a necklace with it and snowflake obsidian. I'm new to tumbeling and my neighbor said she would buy a malachite necklace from me so I thought I'd give it a shot .. any suggestions would be greatley appeciated thanks

Wow, it looks all shiney on the outside, like it's been polished already. That's really strange, I didn't know it had a completely different look like that. Cooollll!!!!

Ya it is strange but im happy with it got it for $12.00 on ebay from gems24 wieghs bit over 1lb. It's larger than I thought it would be ;D

Youre going to have to break it with a hammer Jdenn - Its a shame as that is awesome as it is...... Mine isnt shiney yet - must get too it this week - there are 10 green barrels standing on the sink.

what a nice piece of stone, it's a real shame to whack that up, jdennis....you should try and find a local club or rock shop and have that slabbed.
i've got some scraps tumbling and they get small quick. i've had good luck cabbing it, but it is extremely messy.

its a big rock i wacked half and im saving half to have cut . my thought is just to throw it into the last cycle of my other rocks what do you think?

Jd, Call Jerry's Rock and Gem in Kent, they will cut it for ya pretty cheap $2.00 for set up, 50 cents per square inch

ya but getting out there is hard for me.. my hubby works late and i'm not dragging all the kids with. im gonna save half to take out there when my hubby has a day off. which i hope is soon.

I think I would run this alone through all the cycles- they should be pretty short cycles (days instead of weeks) or run it with some other soft stuff
