Those are some amazing rocks! I’ve never heard of Waloo before, but I dig it. All of those random straight lines are wild.

Glad to hear you're on the mend Roy! These pieces are amazing...as are most of your materials! Thanks for the eye-candy!

Bad, Roy! No drool warning! That's a really sweet set of high end slabs. Glad you are feeling better.

Those are some amazing rocks! I’ve never heard of Waloo before, but I dig it. All of those random straight lines are wild. Wyloo Agate also called Ashburton Agate has been known to Australian rockhounds sence the 1990s. It is found near the Ashburton river on Wyloo station in northwestern Australia. The host rock is a 2 billion year old dark gray dolomite. Along with the white agate are cavities lined with white & clear quartz crystals. My wife found a boulder of this material (8' X 4' X 6') at the base of a 15' pile of rock in the yard of Aradon Minerals Perth in 2008 but could not extract a piece. Due to weather conditions we were unable to access the deposit durring our stay. In 2013 Aradon polished and shipped a few barrels of the agate to Tucson and made her a gift of several large slabs and this big chunk that sits in our back yard. Her plan is to cut a few thick slabs off it an make a 6 to 8 inch sphere. Glenn Archer of Outback Minning statred mining the deposit about 2016 and changed the name from Ashburton to Wyloo Agate. Both Aradon and Outback Mining sell this material in Tucson.
