I don't normally post just one cab...but I had two dopped, and one came off the dop during the initial grind. Oops. So, it's down to one for now. I got this material from msuwabbit ...very generous and thank you again! I said I'd tag ericabelle when I posted pics. This material is very interesting. It's much softer than a traditional "agate" as I had posted when I slabbed it - but more solid than a Summerville Agate. The initial grind was a piece of cake. It has the "feel" of a Brazilian Agate when working it. This won't be the right word...but it seems more like plastic than rock when grinding or sanding it. I know "plastic" seems like a weird word to use, but that's the concept that comes to my mind when working this, the same way I feel about Brazilian Agates. I think it's gorgeous material. And while I have a lot more experience cabbing as opposed to tumbling, my gut tells me if it's tumbled, it would need a lot of cushioning. Anyway...thanks for letting me ramble and thanks for taking a gander.

That is absolutely drop-dead gorgeous, jasoninsd !!! Thanks Erica! I figured you'd like it. I'll be interested to see what you end up doing with yours. I prefer cabbing over tumbling (don't tell anyone LOL) so these are super challenging...only for the fact it's difficult to get a decent "slab" out of these due to their formation. But I definitely think they're worth the time and effort.

I haven't done any cabbing, or any hand polishing either; but I'd really like to try. Hopefully Santa will bring me a flat lap for Christmas!

Beautiful cab, Jason!
Love the subtle colors in the banding and of course, the little druzy vug!

Thanks Robin! Quite a difference between this one and the "in your face" Crazy Lace from yesterday morning. Thanks Tela! I was surprised...but relieved at how "easy" this worked... comparatively speaking. And I really do love the subtle or subdued tones in this material.

Thank you my friend! This stuff shapes pretty easily, so if you ever run across any, I bet you'd like working it.
