I am starting to see this statement in a few posts and not seeing quoted pictures. Are WE doing something wrong and eating band width? Is there a rule I missed somewhere. Please let us know we do not want to do anything that cost the forum money or problems for the folks running the show.

There is a section for forum talk that is limited to 250 posts before you can see it. Just missed it.
Anyway, it was brought up that it's a PITA to scroll through quotes with lots of pictures. So Tommy fixed it. You can still reference a particular picture by getting the url for it via right click and inserting it into your post. If you reply to a picture post, you must insert the image after the quote. (not inside it)
Hope that helped.

Yeah some threads were hard to follow with so many duplicated quoted pictures.

Thanks for the update. I have been a member for 10 years and reading long before that but just started posting photos and wanted to make sure I was not doing something incorrectly or causing someone extra work. I know it takes a considerable amount of work to keep the site running. Just a general question does the site have a limit as to how many photos can be posted in a month?

Just a general question does the site have a limit as to how many photos can be posted in a month? rockjunquie and knave have done a good job explaining it already but in a nutshell it's less about bandwidth or limiting photos as much as it is about etiquette. When someone quotes a post that has a bunch of photos, many members have expressed over the years that it is seriously annoying to have to scroll through the quoted post and see all the same photos they just saw - especially if two or three people do the same thing. This issue actually came up several years ago and the CSS fix to hide quoted images was put in place in 2017 but for some reason (probably connected to a forum update) it stopped working. Anyway, I've reinstalled it on all forum color themes and it's working at least for now. Thanks for bringing this up - It was my intention to make an announcement blurb here but it slipped my mind as so many things do these days. There is absolutely no limit on photos per post - we love a good post loaded with photos, we just don't enjoy scrolling through the same photos multiple times in the same thread. As was mentioned already, folks can still repost and ask questions about a specific photo(s) in the quoted post, all they have to do is identify the photo link(s) in question and move it outside of the quotation brackets.
