Cher, I'm so happy for you and hope you have the "cut" of you life with the new saw! ;D
We sometimes crry in sadness because of a hurt we feel but when we cry from joy it's a feeling we can't explain that comes from deep down in the heart!
Kim you're a great person for making Cher cry!
Ain't giving great??

I had this box full of pieces from slabs I had broken up just a couple weeks ago for tumbling so they were perfect to practice on. I used the saw to do some shaping on the bigger pieces and also was able to cut some pieces in half which gave me two similar shapes for earrings. I put my first load of all slab pieces rolling last night so I am really excited. Waiting for this one is going to be a real strain on my patience. *smile*

*smile* Don't worry Mark, I'll be extremely careful. The saw wasn't even running when I drew the first blood .... doh! I was just cleaning it. I'm basically a chicken and don't like being hurt so I promise, I will be careful.

My mom is quite the seamstress, and she made me the most awesome apron. It keeps oil, water dirt and dust off my clothes. And THAT keeps Tracey happy!!

I've been looking for one of those oilcloth style of tablecloths to cover the table my saw is on, wrong time of year for that though. Good idea to make one into an apron Jack. I have a cheap rain poncho that I throw on, it works pretty good.
Richie, you should post a picture of it. What kind of material did she use?

No ;D Actually I haven't cut more yet. I cut that first night until I filled the barrel so I've been wrapping while they roll. Soon though, I've got some nice pieces of local jasper I want to cut.

Today it's going to be jasper, I've got a few pieces that I can't wait to cut. Oh and maybe some mex lace, that could be fun. I'm dying to get into that blue swirl stone but am going to wait until I've done a few bigger pieces that I have to turn a little. I want some practice with doing that.
