Howdy folks, Posted a pic of this rough awhile ago. Have been doing some slabbing lately with really nice results. Thought I'd share a couple of more pics. I guess this would more properly be termed Plume Jasper as it's really not translucent. Nice plume development though! I hard rock mined this vein material at a site called the "Fluorite Mine Digs" in the North Cady Mountains last spring. The first pic is a cut parallel to the veining the second, perpendicular.Thanks for looking....Mel

That's very cool stuff! Totally different depending on the cut but I like both views.

Mel, Nice! I like the way it loooks cutting in the direction of the 2nd pic. The Plumey parts really stand out! Steve

Liking that mel, my wife says it looks like an old mans viens that have been cross-sectioned. Lol I thought that was funny but she doesn't do rocks so never mind her.

mel those are fantastic looking slabs. i like that 2nd one best too. but i wouldn't throw stones at the 1st one either. well i wouldn't throw stones around y'all at all lol. y'all would gather them all up!
