I like to watch the tomato horn worms eat the excess foliage and known they in turn will develop into Sphinx moths. My two tomato plants( Early Girl and Black Krim) are now producing fall tomatoes and I know that a season ending freeze can't be that far away so why should I worry about what the caterpillars eat.

The cab underneath the horn caterpillar has a skull in the lower right side of the pattern. That is some very interesting material. I really like the dark purple color in it.

I had a terrifying run in with the horn caterpillar a few years ago and it scarred the warm and fuzzy part of my brain a bit.

Turns out there's parasitic wasps that use the cute caterpillars body to hatch their offspring and feed on for sustenance.
