Don't think I have ever seen anything like it. Since you found it, you have the privilege of naming it!!

Thanks NDK and HankRocks ! Nate, yes indeed the same wash. Wish we would have had more time that day, there's lots of oddballs like this out there! Hank, should I ever source this stuff I'll be sure to slap a name on it!

That's some gorgeous stuff! I like the variety in those slabs from the more solid colors of the first slab to those pinks/reds in the latter ones. It sounds like that wash is a great source!

Dang Brian! That is fabulous! I love the pinkish/red tones running through those specific areas...and the large areas of white really make this extremely unique (to me!). Thanks for posting these pics!

I like that a lot. Kinda reminds me of that brecciated mookaite that was popular a few years ago, but red instead of yellow.

That is beautiful stuff beefjello! Just out of curiosity what is the hardness like on the white areas?

Is it solid or do some of those big chunks tend to break out like peanut jasper or wild horse jaspers. Dynamite patterns in my humble eye.

Food Terms that looks like Caramel sauce drizzled on mini marshmallows. Gorgeous looking slabs

very cool Brian
that area as produced some interesting lapidary rocks
been doing lot of Maricopa hounding lately
lots clastic gneiss clastics clastics nonetheless
although I was at the farthest north end of 19th ave north of the 101 19th ave dead ends North of Desert Vista Trail
a short walk and I was in an arroyo which might have been part of the Aqua Fria in the past ?
anyway it flowed pretty good because there was lots of large rolled chunks of volcanic scoria and other different material from what Maricopa usually offers i think it as scattered potential
maybe we could meet and explore that area?

Nice rock! If it's solid you can get some neat cabs from it. Especially with the pink (photos #6, 7 & 8).
