I was slicing up some jade earlier in the evening tonite and found some really nice bluish windows in the center of the rock. You never know what your going to find in rock until you slice one up. So don't throw out those ugly ones, you never know what might be inside them ! Tony

That's pretty cool Tony.
The way you're holding the slices up, looks like a plant of somesort. They look like they belong in a stained glass "picture", or part of an instarsia project

That is beautiful, you have some great areas to work with. What are you going to do with them. Tami

Wow Nephrite! Is that Monterey area jade? Really nice color in those spots. Reminds me of blue green jade from the Poor Boy Mine in the Darrington, Washington area. It runs to the variegated greens with those blue spots!

Wow, that is so cool! How thin are they cut and what are you going to make with them?

Alice, your right it kinda looks like a mary jane plant. Sabre, it is montery blue - green i got them diving, If your in california you can also find them beach combing on Willow Creek beach. If anyone is interested i will give one away in exchange for one slab polished, its about 6 inches long, if anyone has the capabiltys of a mirror finish on jade let me know. Just send me a p.m Thanks for looking Tony

Don't think I could do a slab, but I did manage to get a real nice mirror shine on something that was possibly Jade.

Neph-
I love looking at your jade picts. They're very fascinating. I also like hearing about your underwater exploits. I'll bet you really enjoy yourself out there in the ocean.
