I wanted to make sure I posted a thread about the customer service experience I had with Kingsley North today.
I've had a couple minor issues with my new Kingsley North Cabber 6 with Nova wheels. One of the issues I had was the felt that was over the 80 grit wheel seemed to be misaligned on installation, so it was immediately chewed up by the wheel. The other issue I had was the water valve that feeds the flat disk on the left side of the arbor was ground down by the disk. This happened because there is very little clearance for the valve when the splash guard is in place. Without know the valve has to be in a parallel position with the disk when not in use, it can make contact with the disk...and thus was chewed up.
I sent an email to Kingsley North this morning describing the issues and asking what we could do about it.
Somewhere close to ten minutes after I sent the email, my phone rang. It was Kingsley North. They had my phone number from my initial order.
I spoke with Richard who explained the issue with the felt on the 80 grit is a known issue and they are diligently working on a fix for it. He did tell me they expect to have a solution very shortly. He also understood about the water valve making contact with the disk. He said they would be immediately sending me replacement parts for those two issues.
I asked a couple other questions and we chatted for a little bit about the longevity of the cerium polishing pad. He did tell me it was a "new" part to their equipment, so there wasn't any data available to point to the longevity. It was a very good conversation and I had a lot of respect for Richard's honesty and his being forthcoming with everything we talked about.
I will say I'm more than pleased with the level of customer service I received from Kingsley North...especially in an age where customer service seems to be lacking too many places.
