Only thing on it is Model 6. Anyone ever see one of these before? It's brand new, never used and was found collecting dust in garage or some such.

By model 6 do you think 6 lbs? I don't recall seeing something like that, the rubber mold would have been expensive and complicated.

I was thinking it meant 6 lbs. I didn't get a pic but the inner lid has rubber glued on the inside. Wonder if it might've been prototype or a combo knock off that someone was working on to give Lortone and Thumler a little competition and never happened.

It looks like a good coarse grit barrel for materials you need to grind down more, the hex shape is more aggressive than the regular lortone rubber barrels. maybe they were smart and made the lid the same diameter as lortone like Harbor Freight did.

I was hoping that is the case. Not sure what the diameters are on the 6/12 lb Lortones but I can't stop thinking if they fit, the crappy plastic Thumler lids could be tossed.

I'm extremely curious about this and how it might work. Do you want to sell it?
Love the fun name you gave to this thread!

Haven't even run it yet. I did try the lid on my AR-6 barrel but it's too small. I'm thinking it's got to be a knock off that never came to be or was very short lived.
I may sell it but want to run it at least once before I decide either way.

Did the lids pieces come with it or was it lidless?

Came with the lid. Only thing missing was the original band. How they got a 3lb barrel band on is beyond me.

Looks like some serious McGiver work there.

As to those large rubber "rings" that extend past the barrel per se and are what touches the tumbler shafts...are they solid rubber or hollow? I would think solid, but realize there is no way to predict for sure just by the photo.

Feels solid when you handle it. And thick, thicker than a Thumler or Lortone barrel.

That barrel looks like it should last a lifetime. Nice snag.

Thanks. Now I just need a deck or build a deck to be able to run all my barrels.
