I got rocks from the Uk, Yorkshire, Wales, and Scotland!! This is so cool, I've never received anything from over the pond before so this was really a double surprise. These are so neat, I can't believe how smooth and rounded the Yorkshire coast rocks are (I'm basically landlocked). Even the rocks along Lake Superior aren't anywhere near this round and smooth, I think you could skip the first three steps. Ok, these first ones are from the Yorkshire coast ... These are Wales Zebra Rocks ... Next are Scottish Jaspers ... And last but not least, Scottish Agates (group shot) ... Close-ups ... Doesn't the big one look like a crab? The color doesn't show good but the one on the bottom is purple. Another crab colored agate. I can't wait to see a slice of it. I'm so excited. I got a lovely letter from Jack, he'd read that due to my surgery and whatnot, I hadn't been able to get much collected and ready for winter tumbling so he wanted to share some of his. Once again I am awed by the kindness of the members of this forum. Jack, thank you so much!! Cher

Those are very unique. They look like they are going to be beautiful when they are polished. Tami

You know, those crab colored agates are so beautiful, I hate to cut them but I really want to see what's inside. I don't know if I'm going to cut them or not ... yet.

Hi Cher
If you waite 2 weeks I will post a Pic of some cut
I think the inside is softer and crystilised , so if they are cut smaller some do break up It could be a quartz Im not to sure as im not a geologist
