Trying to determine what the matrix is for this copper ore. I have been searching for clues, but gave up. It was probably found in the UP of MI in the 1980’s to early 2000’s. I have three like this. I accidently dropped it on concrete and it cracked. Some copper held it together, but I broke it apart with my hands. The green areas are crystal like. There are some white/clear quartz like areas. Green/white areas are about 6.5 hardness. Showing the wet photo first, as it is the best and most true to color. This is where it cracked. Quarter for size reference. Thank you.

most of the copper ore from the UP is igneous in origin. So probably basalt possibly with olivine. Yours does not look like rhyolite.

Thanks. I had olivine as a possibility.

Epidote. Found in the copper mines of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The pinkish areas would be orthoclase. The host rock looks like basalt.
