I have a small bag of calcite my sister gave to me. I'm planning to take a break from the tumbles for my wife's back-splash project. My next tumble will be a mix of sodalite, labradorite, and maybe a few pieces of lapis. All are similar Mohs numbers (between 5 and 6.5), which is higher than the calcite's hardness of 3. I'm wondering if I can toss a few pieces of the calcite in with the other stones, or if it's just too soft...?

I wouldn't unless it was with other same(ish) hardness stones. Maybe just run a batch of it by itself? Not an expert but hope this helps.
