I hope this link works!
Loud Lot-O, I place my hand with barely any pressure on the front of it and suddenly, quiet Lot-O!
Any thoughts?

It’s a machine that vibrates, you stopped some of the vibration.

Mostly everything I’ve learned has been from making mistakes.

Learning what your vibe sounds like as your going through the various stages is a good thing. I'm learning to tell when mine is gumming up by the sound. Only dumb question is the one not asked.

I've spent many hours studying the Lot-O, and yours does sound a bit off compared to what I am used to. May just be the angle of the filming, but your barrel seems pretty sunk into the frame, do you happen to push it into the frame at all? Ours sounds like yours does when you put your hand on it all of the time. Yours sounds like there is vibration that is not being transferred from the frame to the barrel. Just a guess- is the rubber nub on the bottom of the barrel in contact with the platform?

I haven’t been pushing it down all the way-I used to and learned that was bad, but maybe I am still pushing it in too far! I hope this link works! Mine has a line around the top of the black barrel. I push mine in just so the line is showing. At a slight angle so the top is angled forward and the line mirrors the red frame.
So maybe look at that??
I’m new too…so if someone thinks that’s wrong, let me know. I just watched a bunch of other people videos before I used mine.

We actually have a 1 1/2" spacer under the barrel so it cannot sink in too far. After adjusting the dowel and doing this the machine runs perfectly. It never bogs down anymore, even when using a ridiculous amount of SiC grit and accumulating a lot of mud.

YOU WERE RIGHT!!! Thank you!!! I set it in without pushing it down at all, and it is making the normal sound! Thank you SO much!!! My guess was only based on what I have heard with my own machine through all of my fiddling/experimenting.
