What a cool collection you have there Victor! The patterns in so many of those cabs are so complex that you can just look at them for a long time. Thanks for the treat.

Nice collection of lace.
Photos a bit large. Not being able to see the whole cab without scrolling kinda' kills the overall effect.

Well that was awesome scrolling journey! The pictures are spectacular, nice work! How much for a handful from the bucket? Did you collect and work these? I collected some stuff that was collected in the 60's, but I got them from a garage/backyard and not in the field. Thanks for sharing!

Victor, I honestly don't know how you get anything done around your house. If I had these, I'd be sitting around with a loupe spending endless hours investigating every millimeter of these pieces.

Beautiful cabs, Victor! The green one can't possibly be crazy lace, can it? I've never seen crazy lace in that color. That one is my favorite, btw. It's absolutely gorgeous!

1. Hummingbirdstones2- Yes, I have a problem sizing and will do a better job. 2.Stewdogg- All material was selected from mostly rock shops in Texas or New Mexico. I cut all rough rock into slabs, select the best interesting area and cut preforms from this material before I make the basic shapes on a 60 grit flat lap. I let the vibe do the rest but the material must be hard throughout and not contain unfilled areas or rotten spots for this method to work. I dop and work on multiple stones at a time because I personally like to do the same step on 100-200+ pieces at a time. The UV-18 vibe takes a lot of material and stones of equal hardness are very compatible. My vibing mix contains equal amounts of cabs, small media, and trimmings of various sizes.

Hummingbirdstones, I am color deficient and don't see all the red or green colors. I had my wife look at the cabs and she said several show drab olive which I believe is sagenite plume as part of the lace matrix. I do have several stones from Needle Peak/Big Bend that I think are green sagenite. Sabre should definitely know the correct answer.

Those are fantastic, Victor. Thank you for sharing. I enjoyed taking a close look at all of them. The variety of colors and patterns is exceptional. The second one, and the one about 3/4 of the way down with blue and large sagenite are my favorites. Finally, I am happy to see you have greatly improved your photographs. I have always admired many of yours cabs, but often lamented not being able to appreciate the fine details since your photos were not always sharply focused. These photos, however, are top notch. Focus is spot on, colors are accurate, and details are well preserved. Great job! Tagging Jugglerguy so he doesn't miss these. Rob a big crazy lace fan as well.

Halojonathan, I am learning how to set up the lights and phone camera to get a better image. My wife helps with color correction because I am color deficient in red/green-not color blind. My next step is to size my corrected image so it is not too large or small when uploaded to RTH. The vertical images seem to be twice the size wanted, whereas, the horizontal are ok.

I would recommend that you not resize the images before you upload them. That will likely degrade the image quality. Assuming you upload photos through cloudinary, there is a setting that will automatically resize the images for you. If you confirm that you are uploading images through cloudinary, I will show you the steps to automatically resize images. Take a good at my recent post here: forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/thread/97552/cabs-royal-imperials-jasper-obsidian?page=1&scrollTo=1198752I uploaded the full size images, and cloudinary automatically resized them without reducing image quality.

Halojonathan, I use Tapatalk to upload the photo's. I am now exploring the settings on my phone for different shapes to see what they do when transferred to RTH.

Halojonathan, I use Tapatalk to upload the photo's. I am now exploring the settings on my phone for different shapes to see what they do when transferred to RTH. I am not familiar with tapatalk, but I think it might include an option to resize photos when you upload them. You might want to post that as a question to the technical help board. If there is such an option, it would be easier than manually resizing them somehow.
