The last two months have seemed brutally long, mostly due to work. It has been difficult to find time for the hobby and most of that has only been just enough to keep things rolling. It has been more of a chore than anything.....blah, blah, blah, call the wambulance. So today I was able to carve out seven hours to do nothing but clean, cut and grind rocks. Man did that feel good! First we cleaned out our two vibes. We have been playing around with our vibe recipes and hot damn- these may have the best polish we have ever achieved. Then it was cutting time to get some stuff ready for some new runs. Using the 7" tile saw, the blade was at it's perfect level of wear- still cutting like a champ but worn enough to grind some more delicate slabs. Decided I should make a few hearts to throw into the vibe as we have been doing 2-3 in each batch since we did a big run of them: forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/thread/96683/66-hearts-picture-heavy?page=1After getting the vibes up and running I decided to hop back on the tile saw to grind on some fist sized pieces to get them ready for tumbling. Ahhh, feels good to be back. Going to get some more time in this afternoon and tomorrow morning.

We have an area at work where the sand for the mining sluice gets dumped. Kids are always loosing rocks in the sluice so my rock break is going out to dig around in the sand for the goodies the kids leave behind.
It's a good feeling to put the world on hold and do something you thoroughly enjoy isn't it?

Glad you were able to get some therapy time, Al.
All work and no play makes Al a dull (and sad) boy.

I’m glad you were finally able to find some time for the rocks. I could use some of that therapy myself. Between work, traveling, and other issues, the rocks have just been sitting there. Luckily rocks are patient.
