Thanks for posting these. I wonder if someone on RTH got the broken cheapo from the first link? It seemed to me like the motor was failing. Pretty easy fix, but I had to talk myself out of buying it last night. I just bought a UV18 just over a month ago and found it difficult to justify getting another one. I did think about getting it and flipping it, but I have too many projects going to start another one right now. Got any cheap cabbing machines with that ebay fu (you know, like kung fu) searching ability?  |

First one would have been a good price for a spare tub and parts. We do UV 10 vibes, 18# takes too long to accumulate for what we do.

I usually check ebay out of habit. Gots plenty of UVs myself and was hoping someone might snag one cheaper than a new one. Even if the motor is going out, they would still get it cheaper than new.

Note they removed the color band from the second one, so it cannot be identified is this is one designed for rocks or for casings.
I have been wanting to get one as well, but they were unavailable everywhere for a while. Then talked to one of the sellers who told me that they were having a problem with bad motors being put in the units and the company was working on the problem. So, I wonder if it is best to hold out for a while until they get their motor issue fixed.

There is a brand new UV-18 posted, the bowl deck is higher up. My guess is the 2nd one I posted is likely for brass unless Thumler changed deck heights at some point. I doubt they did.
