Was not happy with my first batch so I removed the softer stones and re-polished in AO (used CO 1st time). All pics are dry and I'm loving it here is what they looked like after 1st go round in CO Now in AO: some close ups: These never did shine up right thanks for looking Robert

Nice stones Robert. I don't know what they all are but you have an awesome selection there. Too many to pick a fave.

Yeeow. Nice shine. Funny what a difference a polish can make. Those look great. I may have to send my first batch back through at some point.

I love the shine, those blue quartz are awesome! Seems like the only thing CO works well as is a pre-polish, AO is the bomb baby! Marian

Kim, these are my rocks I found at the CA beaches, don't know for sure or any of them but the ones in question I'd call jasper. All are the same hardness (MOH 7-7.5). Someone told me that the green ones are cal. jade. Oh but the shine, looked at all day.

The ones that didn't polish well try them in a mixture of the AO and CO I have gotten great results with 1/2 and 1/2. Tami

Wow, what a difference between the polishes! Very nice! So tell me, did you do anything to the rocks between switching to a new polish? Inquiring minds want to know.... (ok, so it's just me who wants to know)
Shine on! Pebbles

Pebbles, nope nothing at all. Didn't turn out in CO so moved to AO for about 10 days. I did take out the softer stones and just re-polished the harder ones.

Thanks, Robert for answering my question. I thought that maybe ya had to run 'em thru 1000 grit or pre-polish before switching to a different polish. That's sure gonna save me some time (and grit) for my re-do's. Thanks again!
