It's been quite a while, but I finally got around to doing a wrap. I think my fingers have forgotten how to listen to my brain, but it turned out ok overall... Thanks for looking.
Edit- I noticed after I posted that the binding wire on the right side had moved- I must not have crimped it tight enough. It's been fixed...

Good looking cab and nice job on the wrap. Chuck Thanks Chuck. I really like the cab but I could have done better on the wrap- I may try and give it a few tweaks.
Sometimes it helps, sometimes not...

When you do a wrap like that what holds the cab in on the back? The two colored wire looks great but I don’t know how to hide the ends. My grand daughter has plans for me to learn so I can do the stones she wants done 😒.

Looks good brother. Better than what I can do. I'm starting to prefer slip on shoes just so I don't have to tie anything. Learning and showing off wire wraps should be a hoot.

Time , here's a picture of the back. And you just start and end the binding wires so that the ends are in the back also. If you decide to start and have any questions I'd be glad to help- although there are far better wrappers here on RTH than me!

Never backed down from the challenge of learning something new, should still be a hoot.

Never backed down from the challenge of learning something new, should still be a hoot. If you decide to I can help you learn enough to be dangerous, then you can get some real help... Honestly, it's not too bad.

When I was in the ARMY, the scout teaching demolition class said the same thing 15 minutes before he handed me 5lbs of explosives and det cord. Nice thing about your offer( don't think I won't be taking you up on it) is nobody dies if I get pissy and huck it across the room.

Glad to see you're back at it miket! I've missed seeing your wraps.
May I make a suggestion on the back? The bail wires that hang out under the binding wires -- if you trim them just enough and then roll the wires under up against the cab, it will lock them in real tight and make it neater. You need the teeniest round nose pliers to do it that you can find but it works a treat.

Thanks, Robin! And thank you for the tip. I usually try to curl them better but nothing seemed to want to behave on this one! 🙂

Thanks for the shot of the back. My Grand daughter bought us some wire and was very confident that I could figure out how to wrap some of our first tumbles. I am thinking she is delegating some of this work.

Nice wrap miket ! I can't wait to get started wrapping. I need to order wire. The cab is very nice as well. Thank you, sir! I started with copper wire in the beginning because it is cheaper... I think you'd like wrapping, can't wait to see what you do!

I am thinking she is delegating some of this work. You're welcome. I had a ton of questions and help in the beginning, especially from rockjunquie- and I still get tips from the pros here, so don't be afraid to ask questions... Good luck!

Nice to see you back at it. I didn't even notice those bindings till you mentioned it. LOL! Looks good, Mike. Love the stone, too.
