I was hoping that someone could help me with this. The tumbler is relatively new - this is the 3rd time I've tumbled with it. Current batch has been in for 3 weeks so far without issue. Suddenly, it has started making a SHRILL squeal every so often. If I unplug, pull the barrels off and put them back on, the noise seems to go away for at least 12 hours!
I've tried to do some troubleshooting but can't find anything wrong yet:
C clips look good and all are intact Wiped down old gunk and lightly re-oiled the bearings Belt is always in place when I open it up and still looks brand-new - no visible damage makes no squealing when running without barrels Does anyone have any ideas? Thank you!!!

Maybe the belt is slipping.
I also prefer to use grease instead of oil on the bearings. You can get various types of grease at the auto parts store.

Thank you!! Is there a way that I can tell if the belt is slipping and prevent it from happening? Every time I've opened it up, it appears to be in place. It's taut, but not too tight.

Thank you!!! I has the same issue even when I oiled the bushings. I found it was where the barrels came in contact with the c-clips squealed. I oiled the tip of the c-clips and Boom! No problems. Hope that helps!

Take the belt cover off and see if the belt hesitates when you hear the noise.

Great tip! Thank you!! You're welcome! If you ever have any other questions about the tumbler, PM me. I'm not an expert but I'll do my best to help if you need it.
