You can take the boy from Michigan, but you can't take Michigan from the boy. IMG_20211227_145219 by nik1924, on Flickr A little petoskey stone to grace the wall of Carabao brewing, looking out over Hagatna bay. The picture was taken wet after the 220 belt. Roughly 4 inches long. Sadly, this will likely be the last stone to touch the grinder until after I find a new place. When I built that monstrous grinder, it never crossed my mind that I would need to take both it and the table it is mounted to apart to get them out of the room. Either that, or cut a big hole in a wall. Yay moving

That's a really nice Petoskey.
Moving is exciting, it's the work involved that's daunting.

That handle is going to be epic!
Moving is a helluva lot of work. I think my eyes got totally round when I read that you'll have to take your grinder apart to move it. I would have never thought of that, either. Good luck with your move, nik!

Dang Dang nik! First dang is the kind of dang when you see something amazingly gorgeous like that handle...you know, the dang that gets drawn out into "daaaaaaaaang"! LOL Second dang is the kind of dang you say when you're in mixed company and you're trying not to swear like a WWII sailor - like when you realize you have to disassemble a MASSIVE grinder! I think I'd opt for the hole in the wall! LOL

This was a fun one to cut, being so soft. The 30 grit wheel felt like i was cutting styrofoam.

Where are you located and do you make the beer? Both the brewery and I are in Guam, and I am not the brewer.

Guam! We were 99% certain we were getting sent there before the pandemic. We were SO SAD to not go. But not gonna stop trying!! The MAN is an air traffic controller. If we end up that direction I’ll definitely PM you! Where are you located and do you make the beer? Both the brewery and I are in Guam, and I am not the brewer.
