Here's this morning's attempt, Poppy Jasper (Morgan Hill, Olympic, not sure...). Kind of a hard shape for me to wrap and a little bit wonky but I think it turned out ok. Thanks for looking.

Nice wrap! It looks really clean. The stone is beautiful as well.

It's Morgan Hill and your wrapping is perfect for the shape and patterns, Mike.

Definitely Morgan Hill... those colors and the... for the lack of a better word... yellow polyhedroid formations between the poppies scream it.
Beautiful job on both the cab and the wrap. Definitely better than "OK."

And thanks, I appreciate it!

I used to paint in watercolor, and general watercolor technique can often be described as being either "tight" or "loose". The former tends to be more realistic while a loose style is more abstract. Your cab's shape and patterns suggest a loose style to me, so I think that your wrapping and particularly the bail are fitting.

I think you did a great job on the cab and the wrap my friend! Thanks Jason!
I've noticed that even taking just a little bit of time off has had an effect on my wrapping- but at least I didn't crumble this one up and toss the scraps in with the rest of the pile...

I noticed the same thing with me. I really had to pause a couple times and think about a couple things before doing them!

Looks good to me. The cab is done really well and it looks very secure in a nice wrap. I kind of agree that that shape would seem a bit difficult to wrap.

Awesome piece.
Not sure if it's because I'm tired or my eyes are tired but if you flip it upside down it looks like an abstract cartoon face.

At the very bottom, 2 wonky red eyes with yellow frog lips, lol.
Didn't notice the other one until you pointed it out.

I like the wrap, miket! That shape is a tough one for sure. Your groove will be back in no time. I've been wrapping for years and when I haven't done it in a while, I get rusty, too. We all do. Sometimes when it's been a while, I'll use copper as a test before I use the silver. It's less painful to take all the copper off and ball it up than it is silver.
